Anton Kotzee | Founder and CEO
Anton has an extensive background in the Asset Management industry. He is an excellent strategist and has started and successfully owned and operated many businesses over a variety of industries, including the Property and Financial sectors for the past 25 years. Anton has distinguished himself as a specialist in the investment property and business valuation sphere and is highly respected by his peers. He is a passionate entrepreneur with high business and ethical standards. He enjoys music, quality time with the family and good friends. He invests extensively in keeping up to date with the commercial property and business broking market.
Phillip Rutherford | Director and Principal Broker
Phillip is a highly skilled business man, with more than 30 years’ experience in corporate, as well as medium and small businesses within the Manufacturing, Automotive, and Personal Services sectors at Technical, Marketing and Executive levels. Phillip has bought, owned and sold several of his own businesses. He is qualified with Master of Science (UCT) and Master of Business leadership (UNISA) degrees and is accredited by Estate Agency Affairs Board as Master Practitioner Real estate (EAAB). Phillip enjoys investing, swimming and hiking in his free time.
Annie Swan | Head of Operations
Annie started her commercial industry journey with a prestigious international property company and gained valuable knowledge in the Property and Business sphere over a 6 year period spent with them. She has a LLB (Law) degree from the University of South Africa and this legal background strengthens her ability to negotiate and broker various aspects of the Sales and Leasing process on a daily basis. Annie values long-term relationships and has established trust in her character and abilities among her clients over the years. Her hobbies include playing Netball and spending quality time with her dogs and family.
Johan Taljaard | Head of Sales and Marketing
Johan is a specialist in selling Private Companies/Businesses and is experienced in the facilitation process of Mergers & Acquisitions across various industries. He has a background in Finance Brokerage and Project Management and has successfully started and managed businesses of his own, within the online marketing and Financial spheres. Johan holds a degree in Bcom Entrepreneurship from the University of South Africa and is an enthusiast of sporting and outdoor activities.
Corné Oosthuizen | Commercial and Business Broker
Corné obtained his B Comm Marketing degree from the University of Pretoria as well as a Diploma in Wine from the Cape Wine Academy. He is an expert in marketing, gaining valuable knowledge from his years as the National and African Business Development Manager for a large wine distributor, as well as the National Account Manager for a large tobacco corporate. He is involved in his local community and enjoys sport, good wine and quality time with family and friends.
Dewald Olivier | Business Broker
Dewald has an extensive background in Hospitality Management and Operations and is the go-to guy, when it comes to the sales of Restaurants and Guest Houses in the greater Cape Town area. Dewald has an appreciation for the fine arts and enjoys singing (opera) and spending quality time with friends and family.
Lindie Malan | Business Broker
Lindie obtained her MComm from the University of Pretoria. Her broad-based experience ranges from corporate HR, to management and marketing of products and services in a retail and service environment. A seasoned entrepreneur in her own right, Lindie has owned and operated various businesses over the years. She is a certified business coach that educates business owners in developing commitment to personal and business growth to assist in maximizing business results and profitability. Lindie is an astute networker and enjoys spending time connecting with and meeting new people.
Mark de Klerk | Business Broker
Mark has a post graduate degree in Marketing & Brand Communications. He is actively involved in the marketing management of a large sporting events company and is a specialist in brand activation. He specialises in the selling of businesses in the larger Cape Town Area. Mark enjoys long distance swimming in his free time and has competed in numerous prestigious marathons such as multiple Robben Island crossings, as well as the Everest of Open Water Swimming, the English Channel and won various awards over the years.
Glenn Sullivan | Business Broker
Glenn comes from a strong accounting background. He obtained his B.Comm (Hons) from University of Natal, but has been situated in Cape Town for the past 26 years. He ran his own successful business for 13 years, before deciding to use his knowledge to assist business owners with the process of buying and selling business. In his free time, he enjoys travelling and keeping up with current affairs – especially within the South African socio-political environment.
Shaun Andreasen | Business Broker
Shaun is an experienced business man, having owned various businesses and has assisted many others in the buying and selling of their own. He has a strong background in the acquisitions and disposals of large corporate retail and distribution companies nationwide.
Shaun appreciates good food and wine, bird watching, wildlife and the great outdoors, with a keen interest in rebuilding motorcycles. He enjoys a variety of sports and has played in various golf tournaments on a national and provincial level including the Junior World Golf Championships at Torrey Pines, San Diego. He has also run 3 Comrades Marathons, 2 Two Oceans, 3 Argus Cycle Tours plus a host of other South African events.
Yolanda de Marcy Chelin | Executive Assistant to Phillip Rutherford and Johan Taljaard
Yolanda is a Paralegal with a hands-on approach. Her attention to detail makes her a valuable asset to the team. She assists both Phillip and Johan in the business sales department, but is also involved on the administrative and operational aspects of the company. Yolanda is a real asset to the company. She enjoys keeping up with current affairs and spending quality time with the family.
Carey Wade | Commercial Property Broker
Carey obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Economics from the University of South Africa and has over 10 years’ experience in financial and general management. She is well connected within the business community, as a result of many years spent within the Business Development, Marketing , Financial Analysis and Business Support functions arena. Carey has a passion for the property industry and understands the deal making process, as she has owned and invested in many of her own properties and businesses in the past. Carey enjoys long walks on the beach with the family, when she is not busy closing the latest big deal.
Pholoso Malatji | Agriculture and Commercial Property Consultant
Pholoso, one of our specialist Agriculture and Commercial Property consultant, obtained his Bachelors and Honours Degrees in Agriculture. He holds an MSc Degree in Agricultural Economics from Stellenbosch University coupled with entrepreneurship empowerment certification. His areas of speciality includes Agri-business development, small business development and various projects feasibility studies. Pholoso has extensive experience in small business management and entrepreneurship. He has also consulted on various B-BBEE transactions and will continue to so in the future. He is a well- balanced individual and enjoys keeping up with global economic trends.
Monique Prinsloo | Office Administrator
Monique is a successful business administrator with an aptitude for organizing and prioritizing. She is involved in various tasks on the operational and administrative side. Her high standards of accuracy and attention to detail ensure that she can provide support to ensure a smooth-running office. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature and with the family.
Stephan Malan | Regional Manager: Winelands
Stephan has a strong investment and management background. He is an astute business man with an extensive history within the financial industry. He has also successfully owned and operated various businesses of his own in the retail sector, with a focus on Fuel Stations and Security Estates. Stephan is an analytical and strategic business man with strong morals and a high regard for integrity. He has a passion for growing business and motivating teams to do so. He enjoys strategizing on the golf course in his free time.
Chris Veldsman | Head of Valuations
Chris is a Property Valuer by trade. He has assisted various banking and financial institutions, and private clients, in property valuations across the board over the past 23 years. His opinion is highly respected in the industry and he is an asset to our team, where he heads up the Valuations Division and consults as a Commercial Property Broker.
Rob Rousseau | Commercial Property Broker
Rob has a BSc degree in Construction Management and has been involved in retail, office and residential developments and letting for the last 12 years. He is an experienced Property Manager and is currently completing his Masters Degree in property studies through the University of Cape Town.
Jaco Weideman | Valuer
Jaco is member of our property valuations team. He has been a key player in various projects to assess value for financial institutions and private corporates alike. He obtained his B.Comm Management degree at University of South Africa and also completed his National Diploma - Real Estate: Property Valuations. He is a registered Professional Property Valuator with 14 years’ experience in this field. Jaco believes in a well-balanced lifestyle and when not working hard, he loves mountain biking, trail running and any type of outdoor multi-sport activity. We are excited to have Jaco on board as part of our exceptional property team.
Heinie Germishuys | Business Broker
Heinie started his career doing Auditing Articles at Price Waterhouse Meyernel and also completed his BCompt degree at UNISA in 1996. After this he served in various Financial and Operational positions, mainly within the Manufacturing and Food Franchise sectors. Heinie has a long vested interest, especially in the investment and property sector. In his spare time he likes to try his hand in the Forex markets and enjoys taking time out in nature.
Donavan Penton | Commercial Property Broker
Donavan has worked for property owners in the property market for over 12 years with experience in rentals, leasing and property management. He has a good knowledge of leases, market values and the needs of Landlords.
Being an owner of his own micro-business, Donavan understands the needs of a tenant and will not leave a stone unturned to help you find a premises that suites your specific needs.
